About the Book
Navy SEAL Alphonso Manuel Esquidido “Fredo” Sanchez has the heart of a lion and would do anything to protect and honor his beautiful bride, Mia. He’d fought for her love tirelessly, even after his Team buddies suggested he give up. But it was more than pride that wounded him when he discovered he could not father children. He is raising another man’s son as his own, but can never give her what she wants more than possibly anything else in the world. He has kept this a secret only unto himself and his best friend, Cooper. And he knows time is not on his side.
Mia Guzman has come a long way from wild child girlfriend of San Diego drug dealers to devoted mother and now dutiful wife of the man she now knows was always there for her, and always will be. She yearns to have a child with Fredo, to honor him with her body in every way she can, perhaps making up for the years she discounted his devotion.
Their beautiful love and marriage will be tested to the limits through twists and turns before the dramatic final outcome readers will love.

I support two main charities: Navy SEAL/UDT Museum in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Please learn about this wonderful museum, all run by active and former SEALs and their friends and families, and who rely on public support, not that of the U.S. Government.

I also support Wounded Warriors, who tirelessly bring together the warrior as well as the family members who are just learning to deal with their soldier’s condition and have nowhere to turn. It is a long path to becoming well, but I’ve seen first-hand what this organization does for its warriors and the families who love them. Please give what your heart tells you is right. If you cannot give, volunteer at one of the many service centers all over the United States. Get involved. Do something meaningful for someone who gave so much of themselves, to families who have paid the price for your freedom. You’ll find a family there unlike any other on the planet.

SPECIAL OPERATOR ALPHONSO Manuel Esquidido “Fredo” Chavez knew he was dreaming but he liked the subject matter, so coaxed his fantasy a bit longer, willing to keep his eyes closed. In his dream, he had just landed and was carrying nearly a hundred pounds of gear, stumbling out of T.J.’s new Hummer, yet propelling as fast as his legs could carry him up his front walkway and into the arms of his wife Mia. The sound of her soft breath was the first part of her that began the conversion from fighting man to lover. She never failed to make his homecoming spectacular, and today was no exception.
“Ah, Fredo, my love. I have missed you terribly,” she whispered as he nuzzled into her hairline, kissing her long beautiful neck and licking the space between her breasts. If he had to die, he hoped he could take his last breath with his face buried in her cleavage. Even better if he was rooted deep between her legs.
His hands slipped over her warm, bare ass. The dress she wore melted to the floor in a colorful puddle of orange and yellow flowers.
He’d dropped his duty bag somewhere. Now he dropped his pants and absorbed her laughter as he showed her his pink boxers. This made him nearly wake up. But soon she was kneeling in front of him, completely naked, searching for his shaft, clutching his butt cheeks and moaning in that sorrowful way only Mia could do. She was
beside herself with need and he aimed to satisfy that need tonight and keep himself hard for as long as she wanted it. Only in a dream could this be. He felt the chuckle in his belly vibrate against her forehead as she worshiped him on her knees. A better homecoming could not be had.
The scene changed and he was now in their large bed, her hot sweaty body calling to him. He had tasted her all over. He had lapped the sweat from her forehead and the juices between her legs, hungry for her still.
He carefully lifted her knees over his shoulders then undulated forward as he sought oblivion deep inside her, rubbing against her delicate channel from several angles, first slow, then fast, then slow again, drawing her kisses long, pulling her up to him by gripping her hips. Her shoulders lay back with her black hair splayed over the pillow, her enormous tits shaking as he stroked her quickly, then stopped to let her luxuriate in his powerful thrusts.
This was what made the deployments worth it. Homecomings were always done in bed. He usually gave her a head’s up the instant he landed on either coast, so she could arrange a play date for little Ricardo with one of the other SEAL families who had not just come home. Everyone in the community understood how important that first day was when they got home from deployment. They all knew about their men’s need to be intimate and why. It was the first thing they’d all do on their home country’s soil, an unbroken ritual to melt the stink of war off them all. There was purity in it, a long beautiful cleansing as he made love to Mia, as they all loved their wives—the vehicle to getting fully back home. It never changed.
He leaned back to watch the beauty of his penetration, see how her pink lips fit so snug around him and accepted his girth. It wasn’t fair she couldn’t see it like he could. Burying himself inside her was truly one of the miracles of being alive.
“Fredo, my love, make me grow a baby inside. Please. I want your baby.”
Even in dreamstate, there was a dose of reality there, piercing like a hot surgical steel blade in his heart. He saw the picture of his sperm, unmoving, with dented heads. He couldn’t look at her as his seed began to burst from him, filling her. He closed his eyes, and felt himself pulse, rocking her, giving her everything he had.
When he opened his eyes, her belly had grown. It grew larger still as he pumped his last. His eyebrow knitted and his forehead puckered above it. He scrambled off her, smoothing over the taught skin and inverted belly button of her tummy.
“Mia!”
“Oh Fredo, thank you! Now I can give you back what you’ve given me for so long. Thank you my love.”
She arched her back, her knees bent, and he saw something move in her belly. Was it an arm, a leg or the head of his child moving there inside her? He felt the movement as it responded to his gentle touch on his wife’s flesh.
Her face was in ecstasy as she bore down, contractions coming, her eyes fixated on him, a hungry smile on her lips as she bit herself. “Oh, Fredo, I do this for you!” He saw she was in pain, but at the same time it was pure pleasure to her. “Take my baby, Fredo. Take our baby.”
He quickly scanned the liquid space between her legs, now flushing blood and red-tinged fluids. In the sea of birthing fluid came blood of his blood, a baby born, still attached to her. As he picked it up, miraculously the skin pinkened and he held it in a soft blanket that had also magically appeared. The infant gazed up at him. The child was older than a newborn all of a sudden.
His attention was drawn back to her body again as another child appeared. He lay the first two into Mia’s bedside as she cooed and kissed them both. When he delivered yet a third infant, the first two had grown large enough to crawl off the bed of their own accord, chubby arms and legs scrambling. The toddlers righted themselves, their laughter and squeals again pulling at his heartstrings. They ran out the bedroom door like chubby-cheeked cherubs from Heaven, black curly hair covering their heads.
The new baby was placed at Mia’s side. His concern was growing, but Mia’s face was in full repose, enjoying his look of shock and awe.
“What is this?” he asked, as another baby presented itself to him. He barely had time to give this new child to Mia when another appeared.
“Our family, Fredo. Our family is growing, Fredo. You are strong in seed and you have given me many children, just like I wanted.”
“No, Mia, something isn’t right. The children—” He stopped because the two toddlers at her side suddenly made their way off the bed and joined the other two somewhere in the house. The sounds of happy play, laughter and beginning speech patterns filled his head.
He presented the newest baby, wrapped and cleaned as if some mysterious midwife had prepared him, to Mia who accepted the new child with kisses, even as she arched to deliver yet another.
Fredo had to stand up. His heart was pushing limits toward emotional overload. He searched the bed, his hands, and found no traces of blood. A child stared up at him again, again cleaned and pink, kicking arms and legs and cooing, from between Mia’s legs. Mia was releasing yet another child to the bed sheets, and Fredo picked up the toddler to make room for another. The little boy wiggled his way out of his arms, and slipped to the floor, running off in the direction of the others.
Now worry began to tug at his belly. He looked back to his wife who seemed unconcerned, her breasts engorged with milk, nursing a child as another one was delivered. Her sultry smile filled him with fear.
“Mia. This is too much. This isn’t—”
“See how strong your seed is, my love? You unleash your manliness inside me, just like I’ve always wanted. You cause me to bear enough children for the whole world. You make me the earth mother I always wanted to be. Thank you, my love. Look at the evidence of our love!”
He turned and saw a crowd of toddlers at the doorway.
“Hello, Papa,” they started to say, one by one. Some waved to him. Some smiled. Some looked down shyly at their toes.
“How can we afford all these children?” he asked her. He fell back, sitting on the edge of the bed as the children came over to hug his legs, putting their heads in his lap, on his knees. He worried about his nakedness, but suddenly realized he was fully clothed. With joy, his fingers touched the heads of these cherubs, stroking their curly hair and feeling the warmth of their little bodies, cupping their cheeks and drawing them to him, one by one.
Mia threw her head back and laughed, her long neck arching, her breasts leaking milk all over her belly and the bed sheets at her sides.
Earth mother indeed! She had transformed into a baby-making machine. He was being overridden with flesh of their combined flesh, children who wanted a piece of him. He could only hold one or two at a time, while the others pouted and asked for attention. He allowed himself to be overcome, letting the children crawl, covering him as he lay back at Mia’s feet, now confident this was the limit to the birthing.
He had suddenly gone from a dad raising another man’s child to a father with almost a dozen children. They pressed against him, kissing his neck, tugging at his hair, and whispering words of affection like Heaven’s little angels.
He woke up. There was movement around him. The familiar scent of his woman came to him first, her lips whispering something. He wanted to ask her about the babies, but when he opened his eyes and scanned the room, they were alone. Mia had grabbed his hand and placed it between her legs, moaning with her need. He wasn’t so sure he wanted to repeat what had just happened, so he sat up.
His back and shoulders were soaked with sweat. He had trouble breathing. Mia scurried to her knees, her beautiful naked body jumping to action.
“You are not well, my love?”
“No. I—I just had a dream, I guess.”
“Oh, sweetheart, tell me. But are you okay? Everything okay? You dreamed about overseas? Something that happened to you?”
She was thinking he’d had a nightmare about his time in the war zone! But was it a nightmare? It was something he knew could never happen, and yet he experienced it just like it did. His heart
raced. Should he tell her? Or should he just let her think it was some form of PTSD? And was this kind? Was it honest? But if he told her he knew it would never happen, couldn’t happen, then he’d have to reveal to her his secret.
That he was sterile! His sperm did have dented heads and no movement. He’d seen it with his own eyes in the doctor’s office.
The worst day of his life.
HE MET COOP at the Rusty Scupper, their favorite Team hangout, later that morning. He had already downed one beer and was working on his second, and it wasn’t even lunchtime.
“Whoa! What’s up, Frodo?” Coop’s lanky frame deposited across from him as gracefully as a giraffe in heat. He’d recently gotten over being offended at the nickname Coop gave him from The Hobbit, since he was the short, stocky one, and Cooper had the height and litheness of an Olympic swimmer. But today it felt like a kick in the gut.
“Did I ever tell you I hate it when you call me that? Don’t do it any more.”
“Never?” Coop asked casually, not taking him seriously. He sipped on his mineral water and ice chips, checking out the room for people he knew.
“I said fuckin’ never! I don’t like that shit.”
“What the fuck’s gotten into you?”
How could he tell Coop? The dream had been so powerful, he was still sweating, his heart pounding like a funeral dirge. Maybe they needed to get to Gunny’s for a workout. Maybe he needed a five-mile swim in the inlet. Maybe three or four more beers or some scrambled eggs and the hottest chilis he could find.
Something had to happen to erase the images of toddlers calling him Papa, hiding in closets and cupboards when he opened them, crawling over his duty bag, throwing the laundry all over the room, and chasing little Ricardo, who was older, but barely old enough to stop them from overrunning them. These visions plagued him even though he was fully awake. And he couldn’t tell Mia what he was seeing, or rather, imagining. Was he going crazy?
Maybe it was PTSD!
“Hey, man. Libby and I were doing just fine this morning in bed, and the kids are over at Kyle and Christy’s for a sleepover. So you got me here, but I’d rather be in the arms of the most beautiful lady in the whole world right now. So tell me the fuck what’s so important I gotta sit here watching you piss your pants and drink beer before noon.”
